The relationship between class and race is hardly ever discussed at present. Yet there is certainly a critical Marxist tradition of research on racism. The aim of this volume is to draw on this tradition. \n\n\n\nTo this end\, the publication discussed in this seminar session « The diversity of exploitation » takes up historical and current discussions from the English-speaking world and updates them with reference to German-language Marxist archives of knowledge. At the same time\, the book offers a political intervention in the current debate on structural and institutional racism – whether on the labor market or in the police force – and presents alternatives to liberal anti-racism by introducing a Marxist concept of racism in theory and practice. \n\n\n\nA commentary by Franck Freitas-Ekué will discuss this scientific and political intervention from the background of his own work on the reification of the black body that examined the alliances of black liberation and capitalism in its multi-facetted ambivalences. \n\n\n\nThis seminar session will be in English. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEn Allemagne\, les organisations de lutte contre la discrimination et la gauche radicale défendent une conception libérale du racisme qui se concentre principalement sur la représentation\, l’inclusion et la diversité. La relation entre la classe et la race n’est pratiquement jamais discutée à l’heure actuelle. Il existe pourtant une tradition marxiste critique de recherche sur le racisme. L’objectif de ce volume est de s’appuyer sur cette tradition. \n\n\n\nÀ cette fin\, la publication discutée dans cette séance de séminaire « La diversité de l’exploitation » reprend des discussions historiques et actuelles du monde anglophone et les actualise en se référant aux archives de la connaissance marxistes et germanophones. En même temps\, le livre propose une intervention politique dans le débat actuel sur le racisme structurel et institutionnel – que ce soit sur le marché du travail ou dans les forces de police – et présente des alternatives à l’antiracisme libéral en introduisant un concept marxiste du racisme dans la théorie et la pratique. \n\n\n\nUn commentaire de Franck Freitas-Ekué discutera cette intervention scientifique et politique à partir de son propre travail sur la réification du corps noir qui a examiné les alliances de la Black liberation et du capitalisme dans ses ambivalences multiformes. \n\n\n\nLa séance sera en anglais. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlus d’informations
